2012 Wildlife Trade Permit Contract

It is with great excitement that we can announce the signing of a new contract with the Department of Environment, for the deployment of the new Wildlife Trade Permit System.

2012 – Wildlife Permit Contract

In Australia, every year thousands of wildlife products are exported or imported through relocation, commercial shipment or scientific research. The Wildlife Trade Permit System will help regulate this process by assessing and validating applications.

Australia is also a part of the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and FLORA (CITES), which means the Department of Environment is required to report exactly how many specimens are shipped yearly. This system will be able to create comprehensive reports to determine help meet needs such as reports required by CITES.

This project is still in its early stages, however to keep up to date and find out more about the Wildlife Trade Permit System visit https://toukanlabs.com/environment.php.
