OpenEyes™ news
OpenEyes™ offers a full suite of ophthalmology-specific workflows, subspecialty-based clinical dashboards, and fast interactive diagrams to capture clinical drawings in a meaningful, standardised way.
The project will extend across the entire Trust and be used in the treatment of all major ophthalmic subspecialties, including Cataract, Glaucoma and Medical Retina.
Under the agreement, ToukanLabs is responsible for set up, support, training, and consultation for OpenEyes™, with the clinical community also able to commission continued development, thanks to the OpenEyes™ Community model.
In a significant step forward in the delivery of data-driven patient care, OpenEyes™ will unify information collected from other systems, imaging machines and clinical findings to understand patient outcomes, produce audits and develop research objectives.
The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust's clinical lead, Mr Farhan Qureshi, had this to say following the procurement process "OpenEyes will completely change the way we work in Pennine. For years we've been encumbered with slow, unreliable systems with have reduced rather than enhanced our productivity. OpenEyes is changing that."
Due to the positive feedback received the project team from Pennine’s medical and nursing team, the deployment timetable has been moved forward by three months and is expected to get underway in the second quarter of 2020.
